About this Provider
Shardaben Kantilal Desai Vidhya Mandir (Sadvichar Parivar Viklang Punervas Kendra), established by Sadvichar Parivar, is a residential school dedicated to educating and supporting physically challenged (differently-able) children from economically weaker rural backgrounds. Initially started in Ahmedabad (1976–1980), the school was later relocated near Uvarsad village in 1981 to provide a more spacious and serene environment for learning and development.
- Provide free education, boarding, and lodging to around 250 physically challenged students
- Offer education from primary to higher secondary levels
- Conduct vocational training such as carpentry, book-binding, and printing
- Focus on building confidence, independence, and self-respect among students
The institution works towards empowering physically challenged children by equipping them with education, skills, and confidence to lead independent lives.
